The Pd nanoparticles immobilized onto molecular sieves by 1,1,3,3-tetramethylguanidinium lactate were very active and stable catalysts for the solvent-free hydrogenation of olefins. The excellent synergistic effects between nanoparticles, ionic liquid, and the molecular sieve enhance activity, selectivity, and durability of the catalytic system.
