Prof. Vivian W.-W. Yam is currently the Philip Wong Wilson Wong Professor in Chemistry and Energy and the Chair Professor of Chemistry there. She was elected to the Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2001 and Fellow of TWAS, the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World since 2006..

　　On January 8, 2010, she was invited to deliver a Molecular Science Forum Lecture at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS). On behalf of the ICCAS, Prof. Lijun Wan awarded the certificate and medal of Molecular Science Forum Lecture Professorship to Prof. Yam.
