Prof. Eiichi Nakamura won CAS Einstein Professorship and Delivered Lecture in ICCAS
Beijing, September 15, 2011: The ceremony of CAS Einstein Professorship to Prof. Eiichi Nakamura, professor of the University of Tokyo, was held in the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS). After the ceremony Prof. Nakamura delivered the lecture of Single Molecular Imaging of Organic Molecules and Reactions.
Eiichi Nakamura is Professor of Physical Organic Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry, the University of Tokyo, and works on organic synthesis, physical chemistry and nanoscience. He was elected as the Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (1998), Foreign Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (U. K., 2005) and the Honorary Foreign Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2008). Till now he has won many awards, such as the Chemical Society of Japan Award (2003), the Humboldt Research Award (2006), the Medal with Purple Ribbon (Shiju Hosho) (The Japanese Government, 2010) and the Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award of the American Chemical Society (2010), etc..
