The folding/unfolding of a protein structure has been studied through measuring the donor-donor energy migration between two fluorescent probes coupled selectively to the N termini of the homodimeric DsbC protein. The fluorometric strategy provides a convenient and reliable method to investigate conformational changes in dimeric proteins.
